Luna Park, Chicago
Luna Park was a ten-acre trolley park that operated in Chicago from 1907 to 1911, featuring a roller coaster, ballroom, skating rink, and live entertainment before declining due to competition from larger regional parks like Riverview Park. Owned by boxing promoter James "Big Jim" O'Leary, it initially drew 5,000 daily visitors but eventually closed permanently, with its site converted to residential development by 1916.
