Use the site at your own risk

CoasterRidr is a free, community-built database provided “as is.” We work hard on accuracy, but coaster stats, opening years, statuses, wait times and other data may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Do not rely on it for safety-critical, travel or financial decisions — always confirm details (operating hours, ride status, ticket prices) with the park directly. Wait times come from a third-party service and are estimates only.

No scraping or abuse

You may browse and link to the site freely. You may not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or systematically harvest the site or its data using automated tools without our written permission, nor may you overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems. If you’d like a data export, ask us — much of our underlying source data is openly licensed and we’re happy to point you to it (see Credits).

Community contributions & licensing

When you submit a coaster, park, correction, review or rating, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it’s accurate to the best of your knowledge. You grant CoasterRidr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, edit and distribute your contribution.

Factual database content (coaster and park data) contributed by the community is published under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0), consistent with the open sources we build on. That means others may reuse it with attribution and under the same license. Don’t submit content you don’t have the rights to, and don’t copy from closed databases such as rcdb.com.

Our right to moderate

We review community submissions before they go live and may edit, reject or remove any content — submissions, reviews or ratings — that is inaccurate, spammy, abusive, off-topic, infringing or otherwise inappropriate, at our discretion and without notice. Keep reviews honest and civil.

Intellectual property

The CoasterRidr name, design and original written content are ours. Underlying data and photography come from openly-licensed sources, each credited with its own license on the Credits page. Park and manufacturer names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only; CoasterRidr is not affiliated with or endorsed by any park, manufacturer or ticket seller.

Advertising & affiliate links

The site is supported by ads and affiliate links. Some outbound “buy tickets” links may earn us a commission. This never changes the price you pay. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoasterRidr and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site, reliance on its data, third-party links, ads, or wait-time estimates. The site is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
