Manhattan Beach was a pioneer amusement park that operated in Denver, Colorado from 1891 to 1914 and holds the distinction of being the first amusement park established west of the Mississippi River. The park, situated on the shores of Sloan's Lake, featured a roller coaster, Ferris wheel, and various attractions including performing acts and animals, with its signature draw being Roger the Elephant, a popular children's ride that visitors could reach via streetcar, boat, and wagon.
